The Police have arrested Patricia Asiedua, alias ‘Nana Agradaa’, following allegations of a money-doubling scam levelled against her by some members of the public.
It was reported that people massed up at the church of the Agradaa because the repented priestess had earlier advertised through her television channel, Thunder TV, that she was going to give out monies to people.
She is also said to have advertised that she would double monies that are brought to her church, Heavenway Champion International Ministry, on the day.
However, per the account of the aggrieved people, the evangelist only played on their gullibility to extort monies from them.

On this, the Bodi Constituency Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Kobby Dan, has described the people as greedy and opportunistic individuals who knew who were not church members but still attended in their numbers.
“Evangelist MAMA PART, aka Agradaa, in a video post, promised the members of HEAVEN WAY MINISTRY of money reward at an upcoming all-night service. Greedy and opportunistic individuals got the message and knowing that they are not church members but still attended in their numbers,”
“Notwithstanding, there is clear evidence that such money reward announced by Mama part earlier in the video was duly shared with the registered HEAVEN WAY MINISTRY members,” he stated.
“Surprisingly, the visiting church members who are expected to go through baptism and other procedures to be recognized as church members thereafter went berserk at the church premises after the sermons and complaint of being duped,”
Kobby Dan was worried about when and how sowing seeds and giving offerings in the church became illegal in the country.
“Ladies and gentlemen, when did sowing seeds and giving offerings in church either willingly or by biblical or prophetic enticement become illegal in Ghana? It happens everywhere in Ghana, even in the famous Akwasi Awuah church,”
Meanwhile, he called on the Ghana Police Service to stop the investigation and set her (Patricia Asiedua, alias ‘Nana Agradaa’) free.
“Those people must take responsibility for their own decision and suffer the consequences. There is absolutely no case to call for the arrest of the innocent Evangelist,”
“Ghana Police Service must halt an investigation into the matter and set her free. The public is only being sensational. People must be made to learn sense in this country,” he added.
The Bodi Constituency Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party made this known in a Facebook post cited by Adolfmedia.com.
