Brong Ahafo United have confirmed the appointment of Stephen Abugri as the new head coach, replacing Ransford Kudjoe.
The Division One League outfit confirmed the departure of Ransford Cudjoe in the early hours of Thursday, October 27, 2022, before confirming the appointment of experienced Abugri on their social media handles.
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Stephen Abugri as our new Head Coach for one year.”

Speaking to the media, Coach Stephen Abugri said he was approached by the team because of his outstanding track record.
He stated that his target is to assist the team lead the club to premiership football.
Brong Anafo United are currently in 5th on the league log with 6points after four matches.
Coach Stephen Abugri’s first assignment with the team will be against Berekum Arsenal at Golden City Park, Berekum.
He has managed the likes of Accra Hearts of Oak, King Faisal, Accra Lions, Karela United FC Samartex, Swedru All Blacks, Kpone Fairport FC, and Basake Holy Stars FC.
In 2012 Coach Abugri set an unbreakable record by qualifying King Faisal into the premiership after winning all 10 straight matches in the league and the Middle League.
Last season, Coach Abugri saved Basake Holy Stars from relegation in division one football by winning eight matches, drawing three and losing four in the second round.
Due to coach Abugri’s hard work and determination, he attained a scholarship to further his education in Cuba. Aside from coaching, Abugri has two other different professions. He is a veterinarian and a teacher.
