Deputy Captain of Basake Holy Stars Jacob Boazee has called on supporters of the club to turn out in their numbers on Sunday in the game against West Africa Football Academy in Aiyinase.
The Nzema-based club will host the former Premier League outfit on matchday 19 of the Access Bank Division One League at Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.
Coach Dominic Nketiah’s side is yet to pick a win in their last six games and the club is currently in 14th position with 17 points.
Ahead of the game on Sunday, Jacob Boazee described the ongoing season as their toughest season, but the outcome of their recent games signifies an improvement in their team.
“I can say this season is our tough season so far. It’s not easy for us (the playing body and the management) to go six matches without a win,”
“But I think there has been an improvement so far in our recent games because we lost 1-4 to Elmina Sharks, 3-1 to New Edubiase, 0-1 to Nzema Kotoko and we drew 0-0 to Pacific,”
“So clearly, I think we have improved ahead of this Sunday’s game. It won’t be easy, but I’m pleading to our supporters and fans that their support on Sunday will help us a lot to beat WAFA,” Deputy Captain of Basake Holy Stars Jacob Boazee told Adolfmedia.com.
