A young boy, possibly in his early teens, was discovered dead at Amazing Grace Church in the Dafiama in the Dafiama-Busie-Issa District of the Upper West Region.
The incident happened on Monday, October 3, 2022, in the early morning hours.
The reason for the boy’s death was unknown, however, he was discovered hanging between a zinc and wood fence with his neck packed between the gate that had been shut.
Eyewitnesses claim that the police arrived at the scene to transport the body to the station for further investigation.
Mr Denis Andaban, the NDC constituency communication officer for the Dafiama-Busie-Issa District, verified the development to the media.
“The entire Daffiama community woke up this morning to witness a very sad incident. This is a little boy in his teens trapped in the main door of Amazing Grace Church. The deceased has been taken away by the police for further investigation and possibly burial.”
The Assembly Member for the Area, Madam Mary Assumpta Dakora, has not been reached despite attempts to speak with her.
