All roads will be leading to Ampain as Nzema Kotoko host Basake Holy Stars in matchday two in Zone Two of the 2022/23 Access Bank Division One League on Sunday.
This will be their third meeting in the Division One League with the two sides winning a game each at their respective home grounds last season.
Nzema Kotoko defeated Basake Holy Stars at Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III Sports Arena 3-1 in the 2021/22 Division One League, whiles Holy Stars won the reverse encounter 1-0 at Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Aiyinase.
However, the Ampain side lost their week one fixture of this season’s campaign 1-0 to Elmina Sharks at Ndoum Sports Complex and will be looking to make amends in the Nzema Derby on Sunday.
Holy Stars had an excellent spell in the 2021/22 Division One League and has transferred such form to this year’s league by beating New Edubiase 1-0 in their first game of the season.
Edward Nii Odoom, former Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, now head Coach of Basake-based club, will be eyeing his second win in a row against Nzema Kotoko.
The two teams will battle for the bragging right on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III Sports Arena, Ampain.
