Daakyehene Dr Rock of Bogoso-based Best Fm has been crowned the Radio Sports Personality of the year in the second edition of the 5star Channel Awards held at the Jireh Conference Hall, Accra.
The Multiple Award-winning Sports Journalist also emerged as Ghana’s Sports Show and Host of the Year.
5-Star Channel Awards is a podium created to acknowledge the hard work and achievements of excellent media personalities who have contributed extensively to developing the Ghanaian media terrain.
Winning double at 5star Channel Awards increased his tally to four awards in 2022 and 13 awards within two years. He is undoubtedly the most successful journalist in the history of Dr Tony Aubin’s Best Fm.
Aside from the double, he has also won the 2022 Foklex Media Awards Sports Show Host of the year in Western and Western North regions and Ghana Media Personality Awards Sports Show Host of the year.
Desmond Agyemang Koranteng, as known in private life, won the 5-Star Channel Awards National Sports Show Presenter of the Year and Best Sports Show Host for Western & Western North Regions in the maiden edition last year.
Other awards won in 2021 include the WRTP Sports Commentator of the year, WEBA Sports Show Host of the year, WEBA Sports Commentator of the year, WEBA Local Sports Presenter of the year, and Foklex Media Awards Sports Show Host of the year.
The versatile Sports Journalist won the 2020 Sports Show Host and WRTP Ultimate Winner as he began the journey of winning awards in the range of two years.
