Dr. Stephen Takyi, a Senior Lecturer at the Planning Department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, has called on the government to build football facilities in the Zongo communities.
He said most of our players in the Black Stars are Zongo boys, therefore, there is a need to construct more football facilities in all Zongo communities.

“I have personally done a demographic analysis of recent Black Stars players and I’ve realised most of these players are Zongo boys,”
“Any serious country will look at this trend and design the necessary support for the areas where these players are coming from,” he told Kumasi-based Otec FM.
His remarks follow the impact of Mohammed Kudus, Mohammed Salisu, Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Osman Bukari, Alidu Seidu, Abdul Baba Raman, Abdul Salis Samed, and the likes at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
