Veteran Sports Journalist Professor George Kuntu Blankson has ruled out speculation to contest for the Western Regional Football Association Chairmanship position.
The Shama DFA chairman debunked this claim in an exclusive interview with Coach Ike on Skyy Power Fm in Takoradi.
According to him, he would not be in a haste to compete with the Chairman of the Western Regional Football Association, Hon Simon Ehomah.
“Many football administrators called to verify the claims surrounding my interest in the WRFA Chairmanship position and I want to make it clear that I am not vying for the position,”
“We have a leader in the shape of Hon Simon Ehomah and there’s no need to challenge him in the next election,” he started.
Prof Kuntu Blankson added that every FA Chairman has a mandate of eight years and he feels this is not the right time.
“FA chairs stay in office for eight years and I feel it will be appropriate for me to wait till Ehomah’s time in office is due before I compete even if I am interested,” he said.
