The Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency, Hon. Dr. Kwaku Afriyie has commissioned a durbar ground at Sefwi Anhwiam in his constituency.
Six (6) unit classroom blocks at Ampabame, a durbar ground at Punikrom, and a CHPS compound at Sefwi Datano are a few of the projects he has constructed recently.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Kwaku Afriyie who doubles as the Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI), revealed the durbar ground is one of the many projects he has constructed in different communities with the aid of MP’s common fund.
He, therefore, entreated all Members of Parliament to use their common funds for a good course and pled with them all to engage the communal labour within the communities.
He furthermore expressed his gratitude to the Anhwiam community for the support of communal labour for the completion of the project.
On his part, the Chief of Sefwi Anhwiam Nana Mateasem praised the Members of Parliament for his tremendous contribution to Sefwi Wiawso Constituency.
He called on Dr. Kwaku Afriyie to hold on to challenges that come his way in his tenure of office as a Member of Parliament for the area.
Some of the residents requested to express their gratitude to the minister for his benevolence.
They thanked Dr. Kwaku Afriyie and spoke with gratitude to show appreciation for such a project which they described as one of a kind within the community.
