Umar Bashiru of Aiyinase-based Ghana Premier League club Karela United has signed for Insurance FC on a year deal in the Ethiopia Premier League.
Umar Bashiru is one of the best Midfielders in the Ghana Premier League and has been very instrumental for Karela United, especially in the last season’s league, where he netted eight goals as a Midfielder.
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder also plays a vital role for Ghana Black Galaxy. He helped the team to qualify for the CHAN tournament to be a stage in Algeria next year.
During the transfer window, Ghanaian Champions Asante Kotoko did everything possible to resign him but could not reach an agreement with the Aiyinase-based club.
Insurance FC based in the capital, Addis Ababa, joined the Ethiopia Premier League in 2017/2018 season.
