Fire has gutted the girls’ dormitory block of Wa Senior High Technical School in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West region, Adolfmedia.com has confirmed.
The sudden incidents occurred at about 9 pm on Sunday, January 22, 2023, from the first floor of the two-story building.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, but some properties within the School including mattresses, furniture, books, and clothes of some students were destroyed.
The Ghana National Fires Service was called onto the scene to manage the magnitude of the fire to curtail the fettle. At some point, they run short of water.
However, efforts were made to contact the Headmaster, Mr. Ishmael Salih, to attend to the Emergency and keep the Students Safe.
