On Monday, October 3, 2022, the Police Service arrested a further suspect in relation to the recent killings in Wa, the capital of the Upper West region.
The suspect, whose identity has yet to be revealed by the police, had been declared wanted.
The suspect, who was trying to escape capture, was caught at the Hamile border, according to the information that is currently available.
He is currently being held by police and helping with the investigations.
As of September 28, 2022, the Police had apprehended 18 suspects in connection with the murders of several private security guards.
The Wa circuit court granted bail to eight of the suspects. The remaining ten were remanded in police custody pending the completion of further investigations into the killings.
