A suspect named Rashid Jibril has been arrested thanks to the efforts of the Hamile station officer inspector Anafu Bentil and the Lambussie District Police Commander Superintendent Alhassan Yakubu.
He made an attempt to flee into the nearby nation of Burkina Faso but was caught and handed over to the Regional Police Command for further investigation.

Along with about 10 other suspects, including Kankani Adongo, who was detained on September 19, 2022, in connection with the Homicides, Mr Jebril was accused of participating in human abductions and killings within the Wa Municipality.
