The Acting Head Coach of Basake Holy Stars, Dominic Nketiah, has stated that his side is determined to defeat West Africa Football Academy on Sunday.
The club has gone six games without a win, finding themselves in the relegation zone with 17 points and languishing in 14th position on the league log.
Basake Holy Stars will host West Africa Football Academy on matchday 19 of the Access Bank Division One League on Sunday at Crosby Awuah Memorial Park, Aiyinase.
Speaking to Adolfmedia.com, Dominic Nketiah stated that they are fully prepared and determined to end their winless drought on Sunday to bring smiles to the faces of their supporters.
He said WAFA has been struggling in the ongoing campaign and they will count on their weakness to secure their first win in seven games.
The two clubs have met once in a major competition, thus a 1-0 victory for WAFA in the first round of the 2022/23 Division One League campaign at Gomoa Fetteh.
Basake Holy Stars are optimistic of getting a win on Sunday following a goalless draw against Pacific Heroes at Gyamfi Park last weekend and a 7-3 victory over informed Division 2 side Zico Football Club in a friendly encounter last Wednesday.
